MLA Daniel McNeely Travels To China To Support Tourism in Deline

The Deline Got’ine Government is hoping to tap into Chinese tourism.

Sahtu MLA Daniel McNeely announced at the legislative assembly yesterday that he will be traveling to China this week.

McNeely is working on an Initiative called Destination Deline to help stimulate the economy and promote tourism in the community and Sahtu region.

McNeely says that Deline is not recognized as a tourist destination and feels the community has a lot to offer.

Aside from the scenic area of the community and the whole lake. They also live in a traditional cultural remote community. So that alone I feel would offer a good image to the average tourist coming to the Northwest Territories.

McNeely will be back from his trip on March 18th.
