Vancouver man’s body pulled from Tuk harbour

The NWT Coroner’s office is investigating after a Vancouver man’s body was pulled from the harbour in Tuktoyaktuk Thursday.

Chief Coroner Cathy Menard confirms that the body is that of  John Holliday, 56,  who had been reported missing on Wednesday.

Menard says the death is not being treated as suspicious.

His body has been sent to Edmonton for an autopsy to try to determine a cause of death.

In a news release, RCMP state that Holliday was last seen earlier in the day Wednesday at the Point campground in Tuk.
