The search is over. Good news from over the weekend regarding the four day search for a missing mushroom picker from the Czech Republic.

On Friday night around 10 pm the woman who was reported missing near Reid Lake since July 4th walked into the command post on her own.

“The search was difficult due to the large and remote geographical location. Ground search was being conducted in a challenging terrain. We commend the efforts of the search organizations in persevering through the challenging conditions,” stated Marie York-Condon, Northwest Territories Media Relations on Friday.

The RCMP has not released any other details at this time.

G-Division extends thanks to Yellowknife Search and Rescue, Civil Air Search and Rescue, 440 Squadron, and the volunteer searchers for their help.
