Tulita RCMP launched investigations into 3 seizures of illegal liquor in the community.

On July 21, Tulita RCMP were tipped off by Norman Wells that 2 adult males had bought a lot of liquor in Norman Wells and were returning to Tulita, where they were intercepted and had 52 375 mL bottles seized.

Later that day Tulita RCMP investigated a boat being operated suspiciously. When the shoreline was approached, officers found 12 cans of beer, six 40 oz bottles, two 26 oz bottles and one 375 mL bottle. Police were unable to intercept the boat.

Finally, the same day Tulita RCMP received another tip from Deline RCMP that a male and female were traveling by boat to Tulita with a large amount of liquor. The police located them and found 15 cans of beer and 24 375 mL bottles.
All those who have been charged are due in court on August 31.
