The economic arm of the Acho Dene Koe First Nation is taking their chief to court.

ADK Holdings limited, and Beaver Enterprises LP are being represented by Lawson Lundell civil litigator Sheila MacPherson.

The businesses are alleging Chief Harry Deneron was trying to open up bidding on an airport and highway contract, that could pull away from their business interests.

Beaver Enterprises had won the contract in 2006 and 2012.

The statement of claim was filed in the NWT Supreme Court on March 1st.

MacPherson, nor Deneron were available for comment on Wednesday.
