Residents living in Behchoko may have difficulty travelling to neighbouring communities due to construction on the Frank Channel Bridge, located on HWY 3.

The GNWT Department of Infrastructure has announced that construction will begin on the Frank Channel Bridge starting Wednesday, August 29th to Friday September 21st.

The bridge will remain open throughout the construction. There will be weight and height restrictions for vehicles to follow.

Drivers are asked to be cautious of crew working on the bridge and to expect delays while passing through.

The Frank Channel Bridge was built in the 1960’s and is the only road connecting the North to the South to Alberta HWY.
