De Beers Canada Donates Books To Yellowknife Hospital

De Beers Canada Inc. is donating hundreds of books to the Stanton Territorial Hospital Obstetrics Unit.

The mining company will be donating 700 books by author Richard Van Camp to the parents of each baby born at the hospital.

The book donation is a way for the company to connect with new borns and the residents of the North says Linda Bussey, Executive Director at the Stanton Territorial Hospital Foundation.

The amount of books donated is expected to match the number of births at the hospital for the year.

The books will be donated this Friday.
