Day Two of the Dene National Assembly Commences

The second day of the Dene National Assembly resumes today in Hay River. Dene National Grand Chief  Bill Erasmus spoke to CKLB Host/Reporter Daniel MacKenzie today. Erasmus said day one of the Assembly was very productive.  Erasmus says that yesterday they heard reports from their executive members and their elders council. Erasmus added they passed their financial statement so they are in good standing for the past fiscal year. Today, the Chief says the agenda will be busy. Topics to be covered today will include fiscal relations, which is the new relationship with financing for our First Nations government  ,the regional director general from Government of the North West Territories will be talking about some initiatives that are underway with the Liberal Government. Murdered and missing women will be a focus and the national Chief Perry Bellegarde will attend the Assembly.
