Charlotte Lafferty’s killer’s name released

The publication ban on the name of Charlotte Lafferty’s killer has been lifted.

Keenan McNeely is currently facing life in prison for the death of 23 year old Charlotte Lafferty in Fort Good Hope on March 22nd, 2014. Charlotte Lafferty was found beaten to death close to the seniors home.

McNeely committed the murder when he was seventeen, causing a lengthy debate on charging him as a youth or adult. He was recently sentenced to life in prison with no chance of parole for ten years.

McNeely is due back in court on July 11th to decide where he will spend his sentence.
