Charlotte Lafferty’s killer sentenced to life in prison

The young man who killed Charlotte Lafferty in Fort Good Hope has been sentenced as an adult to life in prison with no chance of parole for 10 years.

The accused was seventeen in 2014. He has been sentenced as an adult because of the severity of his crime.

The killer’s name was protected by a publication ban because of his age at the time of the crime. The judge agreed to extend that ban temporarily and will re assess it on May 11.

Twenty-three year old Charlotte Lafferty was found beaten to death close to the Fort Good Hope Seniors Home on March 22nd, 2014.

She was a mother of three.
