Cause of Kam Lake fire undetermined

The NWT Fire Marshal is investigating after a fire Friday night on Curry Drive in Kam Lake in Yellowknife.
 According to a news release from the city, crews arrived just after 11pm at 76 Curry Drive to find a garage on fire. A full group alert of off-duty personnel was requested. The fire crew noted smoke coming from both bay doors and the main entrance.Due to heavy smoke within the structure firefighters were unable to confirm exactly what was on fire. Fourteen fire fighters responded in total. It took them about four and a half hours to extinguish the blaze.They had to use tanker trucks to bring water to the scene as there are no fire hydrants in Kam Lake. No injuries are reported and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
