Bill Erasmus Not Seeking Re-election

The National Chief of the Dene Nation, Bill Erasmus, has announced that he will not be seeking re-election.

The announcement was made on Tuesday at a Dene leadership meeting in Fort Providence.

He will continue to hold his position as Chief until the summer Assembly.

Erasmus was first elected National Chief of the Dene Nation in 1987.
