Alzheimer’s Walk in Hay River and Yellowknife

This Saturday is the Investor’s Group Walk for Alzheimer’s.

Walks are taking place in both Yellowknife and Hay River.

As the name suggests, the walk is aimed to raise funds in hopes of finding a cure for the debilitating disease.

In Hay River, registration starts at 9 a.m with the one to two kilometre walk beginning at 10 and a barbecue at noon. It begins at the Rec Center and ends at the DJSS track.

Yellowknife’s walk kicks off with registration at 9:30 and the walk starting at 10:30, beginning and ending at the Baker Community Centre. It will also end with a barbecue at noon.

Those who cannot attend but want to contribute can donate to the Alzheimer’s society.
