Adrian Bell Announces Bid For Mayor of Yellowknife

Another city council member will join the race for mayor of Yellowknife as Adrian Bell has announced his candidacy.

Bell has served on Council since 2012, and has been deputy mayor since 2016.

He says if elected he will focus on three main objectives: establishing a culture of accountability and transparency in City Hall, diversifying the city economy and reducing the cost of living and doing business in Yellowknife.

Bell joins Rebecca Alty as a candidate, who announced her plans to run last week.

The mayoral election will take place this fall.
