The investigation into last week’s fatal collision on highway three continues.

Yellowknife RCMP say no charges are pending.

Sources close to the family of the 35 year old man who was from Whati,  say another pick-up truck slammed into the back of the deceased man’s truck. His vehicle then struck him on the side of the highway.

Funeral arrangements are still being finalized.

“It is a time of mourning in Whati and our support, love and many blessing go out to the family and Chief Alfonz of Whati as this was so sudden and unexpected, an accident that has impacted so many.

May the good Lord strengthen them in their understanding and healing that will take some time.

Let’s remind ourselves that we’ll never know when or where our time will come to meet our creator, pray for ourselves, loved ones, families, friends and those who are important in your lives,” wrote Behchoko Chief Clifford Daniels on Facebook last weekend.

The police say this is now a Coroner’s file, which they are assisting with.
